Guruvayur temple to have hi-tech queue complex

The hi-tech multi-storey queue complex project for the devotees at the Sree Krishna temple here will be initiated by Guruvayur devaswom soon.
The new complex will have an area of 1,25,000 sq ft with seating capacity for 10,000 pilgrims.
The 4-storey complex will also house cloak room, facilitating counters, toilets, drinking water counters, tea-coffee counters, and CCTVs to telecast devotional programmes, said devaswom chief engineer Satheesh. The complex has been designed by Binish Kumar, Architects and Planners, Kochi.
The cost of the complex is estimated around 27 crore.
The new complex with adequate facilities and appropriate queue system, constructed on the southern side of the temple, will reduce the inconvenience of the thousands of devotees who come the temple and will create more space for the marriage groups at the East nada. There will be separate entrance for hereditary workers of the temple. The construction work will be initiated this year and will be completed in a span of one year,
